Healthy kids for healthy communities
Youth yoga is a great combination of physical activity and mindfulness that has many positive physical and metal health benefits. Also called trauma-informed yoga, this is a great practice for boys an girls in a safe environment that is responsible to the needs of youth that have faced adverse life experiences and trauma.
Areas for exploration and practice include:
- Choosing posture and exercises
- Communicating effectively
- Maintaining safety in the classroom
- Promoting healthy boundaries.
